Preforming solutions for complex composite parts already exist for injection and infusion processes. However, these preforming methods have technical and economic limitations that make it impossible to ensure the geometric quality of the parts and the integration of functions. At the same time, the aeronautics industry wants to expand the range of complex structural composite parts.

The DFP project is a robotic solution for placing the dry fibers used in the aeronautic industry to create a preform (composite part before injection from the matrix). This technique should be optimized by considering speed and quality of deposit fiber.

To promote this improvements, processes will be the subject of a numerical simulation.
