The project aims to optimise a robotic Wire Additive Manufacturing process (WAAM), based on the Rapid Additive Forging technology (RAF) developed by PRODWAYS, in order to manufacture large size blanks made of titanium alloy.

This project is part of the general problem of increasing industrial production rates in the aeronautics sector. More specifically, the developments aim to reduce supply times and costs, in particular by improving the “Buy-to-Fly” ratio – in order to offer an alternative to the mass machining process.
