IRT Jules Verne studies assembly processes for individual composite and metal components and for larger sub-assemblies.

Assembly of individual components:

IRT Jules Verne focuses on technological bricks linked to the development of robotic thermal processes (composite and metal welding) and chemical processes (gluing), modelling and simulation (processes and structures), and control and monitoring tools. Mechanical assembly processes are approached chiefly from the perspective of robotics, monitoring and control.

Assembly of larger sub-assemblies:

IRT Jules Verne considers the transport and robotic positioning aspects of large structures as well as the consequences of the assembly process on the behaviour of the entire structure. The main objective is maximum process automation.
